Hair FAQs – Everything You Need to Know 1. How Should I Prepare My Hair for a Styling Appointment? To get the best results from your hair appointment, come with clean, dry hair. Avoid applying oils, leave-ins, or heavy styling products as these can affect the hold and finish of your hairstyle. For natural hairstyles like sleek buns or ponytails, please stretch your hair beforehand (If it's natural). Stretched hair helps speed up the process and ensures a smoother, longer-lasting finish. 2. Do You Style Wigs or just Install Them? We offer basic wig installation only. This includes cutting the lace and applying foundation to blend the lace into your skin. Please bring a clean wig—whether it’s new or previously used. - We do not customize, bleach knots, tint lace, or plait wig lines. - We do not offer heavy wig styling, but we may straighten hair, refresh curls with a curl spray, or open up lines if needed. 3. Do You Provide Hairpieces and Products? Yes! For styles like puffs and ponytails, we provide the hairpiece—and it’s included in your service price. If you'd prefer to use your own hairpiece, feel free to bring it along, but please note the price will remain the same. - All styling products (gels, sprays, moisturizers, oils) are included in your appointment. If you prefer using your own products, you're welcome to bring them. - For bridal styling, we can provide beautiful hair accessories at an additional cost or source specific accessories for you. Alternatively, bring your own accessories and we’ll incorporate them into your look. 4. What Services Don’t You Offer? We do not offer: - Hair washing - Plaiting of any kind (including hairlines for wigs) -Trimming or cutting hair - Curling of short hair - Hair dyeing or coloring 5. How Long Will My Appointment Take? Hair appointments usually require a minimum of 1 hour, depending on the complexity of the style. ✨ At Terry Fleek Makeup Artistry, we’re all about clarity, convenience, and client care. If you're ever unsure about anything—products, prep, or what to expect—feel free to reach out. We’re here to make you look and feel amazing!
Photoshoot Package FAQ's - Everything you need to know 1. How do the photoshoot packages work? We partner with a range of professional photographers, giving you the freedom to choose the one whose style and budget best suits your vision. Whether it’s a studio shoot, on-location session, corporate photoshoot, wedding, or special event—we help bring your concept to life through coordinated makeup and photography services. 2. Do I get to choose the photographer myself? Yes. We work with a variety of trusted photographers and you get to choose the one you prefer based on their style, pricing, and availability. If you’re unsure who to go with, we’re happy to advise based on the kind of shoot you're planning. 3. How does the pricing work? Each photographer has their own rates, and those vary depending on the type of shoot, location, and number of edited images you want. The total amount (makeup, call-out, and photographer’s fee) is consolidated into one invoice for your convenience. 4. Will I be charged extra if the photographer leaves their studio? Yes. If the shoot is not in the photographer’s studio, a call-out or travel fee will apply. This amount is determined by the individual photographer and is included in your final quote before you confirm your booking. 5. Do you provide clothes, wigs, or styling assistance for shoots? No. You will need to bring your own outfits, accessories, and any items needed for outfit changes. We do not offer styling or wardrobe assistance, but you’re welcome to send through visual references or a moodboard for advice on how to pull everything together. 6. Is makeup included in the package? A package consists of makeup + photoshoot. 7. Do you offer videography services too? Yes! If you'd like to capture your shoot or event on video, we can include a professional videographer as part of your package. Just let us know upfront so we can quote and secure their availability. 8. How do I pay and secure my booking? To confirm your booking, a 50% deposit is required. This covers makeup, photography, call-out fees, and any other services confirmed. The balance is due on the day, immediately after services are completed and before service providers leave the shoot. 9. Can I book makeup and photography outside of Gauteng? Absolutely. Both makeup artists and photographers can travel across provinces. Whether you’re booking for a destination wedding, an out-of-town shoot, or a special event, we can tailor your package to your location. 10. What is the turnaround time for receiving my photos? Each photographer has their own editing and delivery timeline. Some take 3–5 days, others may take up to two weeks. You won’t receive your photos on the same day—professional editing takes time to ensure the best quality. 11. Can I share my vision or inspiration for the shoot? Definitely! We encourage you to send through any ideas, references, or moodboards. The more you share, the easier it is for us to help bring your concept to life through collaborative planning with the photographer and makeup artist. 12. Can you accommodate large group shoots (e.g., company team photos)? Yes, we do corporate and group packages for events or professional team shoots with 10, 20, even 30+ people. Simply share your requirements and we’ll arrange a quote tailored to your team size, makeup needs, and photography goals.
