I'm Theresa, the heart and hands behind Terry Fleek Makeup Artistry.
I've always loved drawing, painting, and creative expression, which laid the foundation for my career as a makeup artist. I pursued that passion by studying Visual Arts at the National School of the Arts, then completed my Marketing qualification in University.
After graduating, I balanced a career in corporate marketing while growing Terry Fleek Makeup Artistry until I took the leap into full-time entrepreneurship.
Today, I continue to evolve not only as a makeup artist, but also as a beauty entrepreneur, beauty educator, speaker, author and personal branding advocate. My passion is building a holistic beauty brand that helps women feel like the best version of themselves, inside out.
Story Behind The Brand
At just 21 years old, while studying Marketing in 2017, I founded Terry Fleek Makeup Artistry. The name Terry Fleek combines my nickname, "Terry," with the word "Fleek," meaning something that is flawlessly done or perfectly on point.
My signature style is soft glam because I believe makeup should enhance your natural beauty, not hide it. It's the style that makes me feel the most confident, and I love creating that same feeling for my clients.
One of my favourite parts of this career is connecting with people from all walks of life. That has shaped me into an inclusive artist who celebrates every skin tone, age, culture, and personal style. No matter who you are, you're always welcome in my chair!
