My Story
My journey into makeup began with a deep love for art. From a young age, I was always drawing, painting, or creating something with my hands. That creative spark later evolved into a passion for beauty.

I was born in Swaziland, grew up in Limpopo, and have lived most of my life in Johannesburg since the age of 11. I’m proudly South African - with Xhosa, Zambian and Congolese heritage. I often say I’m a whole global citizen, and I carry that cultural richness into everything I do. After completing high school at the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg - where I majored in visual art, I went on to study Marketing at the University of Johannesburg. It was during that time, in 2017, that I launched Terry Fleek Makeup as a side hustle, after graduating I then went on to working in various corporate marketing roles - during those years I continued to grow Terry Fleek Makeup. In March 2023, I took a leap of faith and turned makeup into my full-time career - and I’ve never looked back since!

The name Terry Fleek is a blend of my nickname, “Terry,” and the word “Fleek,” which represents something flawlessly done. It reflects my mission: to help every woman look and feel flawless, confident, and radiant - no matter the occasion.
My core values are respect, authenticity, and attention to detail. I specialize in soft glam that enhances your natural beauty no matter your age, race and style. I love helping women look in the mirror and see the best version of themselves reflected back.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of South Africa’s leading fashion and beauty brands, high-end magazines, acclaimed photographers, designers, corporate brands, and influential figures. Whether it’s a wedding, a photoshoot, a special celebration, or a public appearance - I bring professionalism, care, and artistry to every face I touch. With my mobile studio, I bring the magic of Terry Fleek Makeup directly to you - wherever you are in South Africa.
And a little fun fact: I absolutely love dancing and music. Before I leave the house, I have to dance a little because it lifts my spirit and sets the tone for the day.
